1923 – 2004

AUBURN – Adrian “Bud” Guimond, 80, of 41 Cook St., Auburn, died Tuesday, Jan. 13, at the Clover Manor Nursing Home, where he had been a resident for the past two years.

Born in Lewiston on June 26, 1923, he was the son of Leo and Antoinette Doucette Guimond. Educated locally, he served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Upon his return from the war, he went to work as a civilian electrical contractor at the Brunswick Naval Air Station, retiring in 1983.

On Nov. 19, 1993, he was married to the former Connie Halle Legee. A member of St. Louis Parish, he belonged to the American Legion, Post 153, the V.F.W. and the D.A.V., was a former member of the Prospect Hill Golf Course, and enjoyed traveling, wintering in Florida, and playing golf with his wife.

Survivors include his wife of Auburn; a son, Michael of West Palm Beach, Fla.; two daughters, Sandee Flanagan and Nancy Guimond both of Portland; nine stepchildren; one grandson; 19 stepgrandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
