BETHEL – Chea Davis poured in 14 points, including a pair of 3-pointers, to lead Telstar to a 42-34 win over Wiscasset in MVC girls’ basketball action Friday evening.

The Rebels (8-3) took a 29-11 lead into the half.

Dirigo 53, Boothbay 36

DIXFIELD – Alexa Kaubris scored a game-high 20 points, including 12 from the line, to push unbeaten Dirigo to a 53-36 win over Boothbay in MVC play.

The Cougars led 32-17 at the half. Holly Knight chipped in 12 for Dirigo.

Winthrop 49, Mtn. Valley 38

RUMFORD – Karie Bouchard scored 13 points and Anne Warner chipped in 11 points to lead Winthrop to a 49-38 MVC win over Mountain Valley.

The Ramblers (5-6) used a 20-7 run in the third period to put the game out of reach.

Kristen Arsenault scored a game-high 17 points and Cerese Richardson added 11 points for Mountain Valley.

Mt. Blue 58, Brunswick 38

FARMINGTON – Amanda Laney and Christina Mosher scored 12 points apiece to lead Mt. Blue to a 58-38 KVAC basketball victory over Brunswick Friday.

The Cougars broke out to a 30-19 lead at the end of the first half. Shelby Stevens chipped in 11 points.

Rangeley 71, Richmond 27

RANGELEY – Junior guard Sarah Schrader scored 19 points as Rangeley stung Richmond 71-27 in EWC girls’ basketball action Friday.

Junior center Krysteen Romero aided the Lakers (7-0) with 16 points.

Cony 80, EL 36

AUBURN – Junior center Katie Rollins sparked Cony with 25 points in an 80-36 KVAC win over Edward Little.

Freshman forward Cassie Cooper contributed 20 points for the Rams (8-0), who went on a 31-6 tear in the second quarter.

Sophomore guard Kate Dargie scored a team-high 11 points with five field goals, including one from beyond the arc, for the Red Eddies (1-8).

Lawrence 60, Leavitt 41

TURNER – Jaime McGee scored 21 points to lead Lawrence past Leavitt 60-41 in KVAC action.

Holly Noyes added 12 for the Bulldogs. Stephanie Healy led the Hornets (0-10) with 13 points and was assisted by Brittany Duncan with nine.

Lewiston 51, Morse 46

BATH – Amanda Bryant scored 18 points as Lewiston stayed unbeaten with a 51-46 KVAC win over Morse.

Kelsey Varney added 12 points for the Blue Devils (9-0).

MCI 53, Oak Hill 34

PITTSFIELD – Macky Sullivan scored eight of her 15 points in the third quarter, fueling a 24-4 MCI run that led to a 53-34 KVAC win over Oak Hill.

Oak Hill (2-9) trailed 22-16 at the half before the Huskies took over for good. Amber Chapman led the Raiders with 16 points and 15 rebounds. Amy Quinlan hauled down 11 boards.

Jay 54, Georges Valley 47

JAY – Kaylie Demillo powered in 24 points to lead all scorers and help push Jay past Georges Valley 54-47 in MVC action.

Heather Johnson joined Demillo in double figures for the Tigers with 14 points and hauled down 10 rebounds. Demillo (12) and Johnson (four) combined to notch all 16 points in the fourth quarter for Jay. Sara Fetterhoff dominated the boards for the Tigers (10-2) with 12.

Mt. Ararat 53, Oxford Hills 52

SOUTH PARIS – Senior center Erin Johnson collected 21 points as Mt. Ararat squeezed by Oxford Hills, 53-52, in KVAC play.

The Vikings (3-6) jumped out to an 11-8 lead after the first quarter, but the undefeated Eagles (9-0) responded by knotting up the contest 23-all at intermission. Junior point guard Annie Foster tallied a team-high 14 points for the Vikes and matched teammate Kelsea Pelletier with three 3-pointers.

Mt. Abram 56, Madison 40

MADISON – Brianna Wilkins scored 17 points to pilot Mt. Abram to a 56-40 MVC win over Madison.

The Roadrunners (9-3) managed only three points in the first frame but responded with a 22-10 run in the second quarter to take a 25-19 lead at the half. Stephanie Hood drew many fouls, notching eight free throws among her 10 points.

Hall-Dale 48, Lisbon 23

FARMINGDALE – Chelsea Dionne scored 14 points and Heather St. Pierre added 12 to lift unbeaten Hall-Dale past Lisbon 48-23 in an MVC matchup.

Krystal Doughty led the Greyhounds (0-12) with 14 points.
