Church topics

NORWAY – “Before You Were Born, I Knew You” is the sermon topic for the 10 a.m. service Sunday, Feb. 1, at the Second Congregational Church, UCC. The topic for Sunday, Feb. 8, will be “Love Sunday.”

Knitters meeting

NORWAY – The Western Maine Knitting Guild will meet from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Feb. 3 at Christ Episcopal Church. Anyone interested in knitting is welcome. This month members will bring their own projects to work on.

Library program

BRIDGTON – A Winter Fantasy Village is planned for Library Connection for ages 6 to 12 at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4, p.m. at the Bridgton Public Library. Nursery rhymes and singing with Mother Goose for babies and toddlers is every Friday at 10:30 a.m.

Storytime for ages 3 and up is every Friday at 11 a.m. Storytime theme for Feb. 6 will be dragons. “The Little Green Dragon Steps Out” by Klaus Baumgart will be one of the books read at Storytime.

The library is located at 65 Main St. For more information, call Marilyn Starck at 647-2472 during regular library hours. Bridgton Library is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

Bridge results

NORWAY – Oxford Hills Duplicate Bridge met Friday at the Fare Share Food Coop. Winners for this winter game were: first, Jeanine Kivus and David Lock; second, Carol Curran and Les Buzzell; tied for third Don Johnson and Nancy Farmer, Woodrow Mercier and Pete Cummings; fifth, Rowena Palmer and Harry Richardson.
