RUMFORD – The SAD 43 Board of Directors will begin its 2004-05 budget development when they meet Monday. They will also learn of several appointments and resignations.

The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. in the library of Mountain Valley High School.

Budget presentations developed by the principals of the district’s five schools, along with figures developed by the special services director and the nutritional services director, are among the reports planned.

Superintendent Jim Hodgkin will also update the board on the Presidential Disaster Declaration caused by storms in December, as well as discuss the position of athletic director. The longtime director resigned last month.

The board is expected to act on the calendar for school year 2004-05, the contracts for most of the district’s administrators and the contracts for the district’s continuing contract teachers.

Other agenda items include two appointments, three resignations, committee reports, and a closed session to discuss teacher and educational technician negotiations.
