FARMINGTON – State legislators are scheduled to give selectmen an update on property tax reform and other legislative matters.

Sen. Chandler Woodcock, R-Franklin, and Rep. Janet Miller, D-Farmington, are expected at the 6:30 p.m. meeting Tuesday at the Municipal Building.

Selectmen are also set to discuss a request from folks on Town Farm Road to put up an advisory sign regarding truck engine brakes on that road, Town Manager Richard Davis said.

A similar sign was erected on New Vineyard Road, also known as Route 27, at residents’ expense, he said. It asks truckers to “please limit the the use of engine breaks” on a section of the road, Davis said.

Selectmen also plan to discuss the process for negotiating the cable television franchise agreement with Beeline Cable TV Inc.

Selectmen might decide to hold a public hearing to hear from residents about the company’s service, Davis said.
