RICHMOND, Vt. (AP) – The northbound lane of Interstate 89 was closed for about an hour Monday after a crash that killed a Quebec man.

Vermont State Police said the crash happened at around 1 p.m. after a mini-van driven by Warner Doskas, 65, slid into the median. After Doskas got out of his van, his vehicle was hit by a Ford Taurus driven by Philip Tremblay, 37, of Nashua, N.H.

Doskas, of Verdun, Quebec, was killed in the crash. His wife, Noreen Doskas, and his adult son and daughter were in the mini-van. Police said Noreen Doskas suffered a minor head injury, and the others were not injured.

Tremblay suffered a shoulder injury.

Police are still investigating the accident.
