Dear Sun Spots: The Green Thumb Gang of Lisbon is looking for one or two, old wooden wagon wheels to enhance the small park area on Route 196, across from Lisbon High School. The Lisbon Historical Society placed a Civil War monument in the area several years ago and the Green Thumb Gang has been working on developing the park around the monument. The wheels should be in good shape. Please call or e-mail Faye Brown at (207) 353-2728, or bfayeray@aol.com. – Faye Brown, Lisbon Falls.

Dear Sun Spots: I hope you can help me.

We have been putting four children through college, in part by borrowing funds from an outfit that once seemed to be associated with the Maine state government. We thought they might be legitimate but that no longer seems to be the case. We need to file some kind of complaint. Whom should we talk to about this? – No Name, No Town.

Answer:
Sun Spots would advise you start by contacting the Finance Authority of Maine to discuss this. FAME is an independent state agency that develops and administers programs related to the financing of both higher education and business in Maine. Its primary goal is to provide targeted financing tools, information and solutions that enable Maine citizens to take advantage of opportunities that might otherwise be unavailable. You can reach them at 5 Community Drive, P.O. Box 949, Augusta, ME 04332-0949, (207) 623-3263 or 1-800-228-3734.
