1922 – 2004
LEWISTON – Irene L. Albert, 81, died Saturday, Feb. 21, at her home.
She was born in Lewiston Aug. 26, 1922, a daughter of Adelard and Arthemise (Vallee) Albert. She was educated in local schools, graduated from St. Mary’s School and then from Mount Merici Academy in Waterville.
She lived and worked in Chula Vista, Calif., for many years. She returned to Maine in the late 1960’s and was employed in the Administration Department at Pineland Hospital until her retirement.
Among her favorite enjoyments was playing Bingo. She was a very avid fan.
She leaves three brothers, Lucien Albert and his wife Evelyn of Lewiston, Raymond Albert and Adrien Albert and his wife Maria both of California; a sister, Jeannine Jankins also of California; three nephews, Michael Albert of Greene, Maurice Albert of California, and Ricky Jankins of Texas; a niece, Tracy Siebrecht of California; and several grandnieces and grandnephews.
She was predeceased by two nephews, Robert and Larry Albert of California.
