DeLand, Fla. – The right fielder, Nate Yoho, went 3-for-3 with a pair of RBI to lead the University of Iowa to a 5-3 win over the University of Maine Saturday in baseball action afternoon.

Iowa (2-5) jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the home half of the second inning, and responded to a Maine (6-7) run in the third with another pair in the fourth for the eventual game-winner.

Greg Creek, who relieved Greg Norton on the mound in the final defensive frame for the Black Bears, also collected a pair of singles. The second baseman, Aaron Izaryk went 2-for-4 and crossed the plate once for Maine.

Nathan Johnson earned the pitching victory for Iowa with six innings of work and six strikeouts in the winning effort.
