BERLIN, N.H. (AP) – A 10-year-old girl missing for more than a month has been found, WMUR-TV reported Sunday.

Police began looking for Kirsten White in late February after trying to interview her mother about her whereabouts. The investigation started when someone called the girl’s school to say she hadn’t been in class all year.

Dawn White told police her daughter was out of the country, then disappeared.

WMUR-TV reported that someone tipped police off Sunday that the girl was in Berlin.

She was taken into state custody, and her mother is expected to face charges.
