BROCKTON, Mass. (AP) – Police are investigating the stabbing death of a 22-year-old man, who was found dead behind a bar early Saturday.

Marckenzie Steve St. Juste was killed shortly after midnight behind Roman’s bar on Intervale Street, authorities said. Police were investigating suspects but had made no arrests by Sunday night.

Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz told The Enterprise of Brockton that there was an altercation before St. Juste died.

St. Juste was with a group attending an “after party” following a fashion show at Massasoit Community College connected to a Haitian club, according to Margaret Baron, a family spokeswoman. Baron said St. Juste was born and raised in New York. She told the Brockton Enterprise that the father of two was in the Army Reserves and returned in December from serving in Iraq.

A spokesman for the Army Reserves could not immediately confirm St. Juste’s service in the military.
