JAY – Absentee ballots are available at the town office for the primary and referendum election. Voting will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 8 at the Community Building. The town office will be closed on May 31 in observance of Memorial Day.

Library holiday

WILTON – The Wilton Free Public Library will be closed Saturday, May 29, in observance of Memorial Day.

Plant sale

INDUSTRY – A plant sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 29, at Industry Town Hall. Perennials, houseplants, herbs plus baked goods and rummage items will be available. The event will be held rain or shine and will benefit the Eastward Players and Sparrows Song.

FARMINGTON – Trinity United Methodist will have a yard sale and flea market from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 29, at the church 2 miles east of Farmington on routes 2 and 27. There will be antiques, household items, appliances, furniture, collectibles and more. A food sale, hot dogs and beverages will also be available.

Heath to speak

FARMINGTON – Michael Heath, leader of the Christian Civic League of Maine, will speak at the 8:30 and 11 a.m. services Sunday, May 30, at Farmington Baptist Church on Whittier Road. The public is invited.

Art display

KINGFIELD – The work of artist George Ebbinghousen is on display at Stadler Gallery on Main Street. The gallery is open from noon to 4 p.m. daily or by appointment. Ebbinghousen’s work, entitled Largely Landscapes, includes paintings from Maine.
