TURNER – The SAD 52 River Valley Adult and Community Education will present a variety of opportunities this summer.

The booklet has gone to the printers and will be in residents’ mailboxes soon. There will sports camps, classes for adults and academic summer school classes.

The Adult Learning Complex, located at 486 Turner Center Road, is open during the summer for adults who wish to pursue their high school education, General Educational Development preparation and testing, post-high school refresher classes or receive help with university course work. Call 225-3478 to make an appointment.

Academic classes will include English, government, world studies, U.S. history, math, chemistry, physics, general science and general biology. Some of the classes are available day or evening.

Summer enrichment classes will include driver education, basic garden design, paper gift boxes, Pouf People, beginning computer, Spanish, French, container gardening, CPR/first aid, beginner dog obedience and reflexology. There will be a selection of online courses also.

There will be boys basketball camps for elementary, middle school and high school students, girls high school basketball, girls and boys high school soccer, junior, middle and high school field hockey, major league soccer camp, track, field and cross country camp, tennis camp, NCA cheering camp, competition cheering and Summer Olympics.

Other offerings will include fitness, vacation fun days, art camp, preparing a Father’s Day breakfast, basic cooking class, fitness around the world and model aviation camp.
