WILTON – The Wiltona Women’s Club met May 11 at the Methodist Church parking lot where they carpooled to LaFleur’s Restaurant in Jay for an outing. Thirteen members attended.

Lunch was served after the business meeting. The annual report was read. Officers for the coming club year were installed: co-presidents, Marge Beckler and Emily White; vice president, Phyllis Adams; secretary, Helen Colburn. The treasurer’s position is pending. Booklets were distributed for the next club year.

Flowers will be planted around the monument, post office and town office building by Helen Colburn. Members were assigned to care for the plants during the growing season.

Donations were given to the art studies program at the Winslow library and to the Wiltona gift baskets for the spring meeting in Portland.

Plans were made for the game party that was held at the Wilton Congregational Church on May 19. Games were played and prizes awarded. Strawberry shortcake with whipped cream was served by hostesses Alice Lake, Joyce Orff, Ida Goodhart and Helen Colburn. Twenty attended.
