LISBON FALLS – “Go Wild with Reading” at the Lisbon Falls and Lisbon Village Libraries this summer. The Summer Reading Club will run from June 14 to July 31.

The club is for all children: Lisbon residents, nonresidents, public school students, private school students or home-schooled students ages 5 to 15. As they read books, the children will win prizes such as pencils, bookmarks, animal masks, yo-yos and a paperback book.

Other events will include story/craft times at 10:30 a.m. Tuesdays at the Falls and 3 p.m. Thursdays at the Village. Afternoon at the Movies will be held at the Falls library at 1 p.m. Wednesdays.

The Chewonki Foundation will present “Scales and Tales” at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 22, at the Falls library. Live reptiles will be part of the program for the whole family. Sign-ups are a must.

An ice cream social for all who participated in the summer reading club will be held Monday, Aug. 2. Almondar the Magician will be the entertainment.
