Maine State Police and Biddeford city police investigated the discovery of a man’s body on a residential street Wednesday morning.

The victim was a Biddeford man in his 20s, and his death was being treated as a homicide, said Stephen McCausland, spokesman for the Maine Department of Public Safety.

The body was taken to the state medical examiner’s office in Augusta. The identity of the man, who was described as being in his 20s, was not released pending notification of relatives, McCausland said.

Police were alerted by a neighbor shortly before 5 a.m. on Guinea Road, a residential street.
