JAFFREY, N.H. (AP) – A pilot was injured when his plane crashed just after takeoff Wednesday evening.
The single-engine Piper plane crashed about 200 yards from Silver Ranch Airport, said Jim Peters, a spokesman for the Federal Aviation Administration. Police were notified around 5:15 p.m. and found the plane about an hour later in a heavily wooded area, Peters said.
The pilot, who was reported in serious condition, was being flown to the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester, Mass. No one else was on board.
