LIVERMORE FALLS – Selectmen will meet in special session at 6 p.m. Monday to discuss how to deal with the site plan presented Wednesday for an adult bookstore at 54 Depot St.

The proposed store has stirred controversy, and residents are circulating a petition against it.

One alternative is to hold a special town meeting to seek a moratorium on adult businesses. Having such a moratorium would allow the town time to develop an ordinance addressing the issue.

Other issues on the selectmen’s agenda include: choosing a chairman, considering bids on paving Moose Hill Road east from Souther Road, and considering a one-year contract with Community Emergency Services Ambulance.

The board will also discuss Question 1 property tax relief, take up a household hazardous waste disposal contract from Androscoggin Valley Council of Governments, and sign quitclaim deeds for two homeowners.
