SOUTH PORTLAND – Special Olympics of Maine is sponsoring the 14th annual Invitational Senior Men’s/Women’s All-Star Soccer Games, Tuesday, August 3 at South Portland High School.
It’ll be schools in the Western Maine Conference meeting schools from the Southern Maine Activities Association. The men’s game will begin at 6:00 and the women’s contest at 8:00. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students.
Grid camp planned
AUBURN – The Auburn Parks and Recreation Department is sponsoring its 2004 Football Camp, August 9-12, at Chestnut Street Field.
Those in Grades 1-4 will receive training from 5:30-6:30 p.m., and those in Grades 5-8 from 6:45-7:45 p.m.,
Camp fee is $10, with the deadline for registration being August 6.
The primary focus of the camp is to expose youngsters to proper fundamentals, skills, techniques and drills. Brad Sloat, head coach of the Auburn Recs 8th-grade team, will serve as camp director.

Boxer stays unbeaten
PORTLAND – Superwelterweight Jason LeHoullier, fighting out of the Portland Boxing Club, registered his 14th straight victory recently at Hampton Beach Casino in New Hampshire. He scored a 6-round unanimous decision over Mark Norge of Pittsburgh, Pa. Norge was a late substitute for scheduled opponent Tom Wilt.
