SOUTH PARIS – Whitney Linindoll scored a pair of goals for the second consecutive game as Oxford Hills defeated Morse 3-1 in girls’ varsity soccer action Tuesday.
Annie Foster scored early in the first half for the Vikings (2-0) and Aly Fox posted seven saves en route to the victory.
Martha Thomas scored the lone goal for the Shipbuilders (1-1). Goalie Sarah Clukey was credited with 14 saves.
Edward Little 1, Brunswick 1
AUBURN – Kelsey Pettengill converted a pass from Rachel Barlion late in the second half, sending Edward Little to a 1-1 deadlock with Brunswick in a KVAC soccer matchup.
Aimee Tetu took a feed from Kate Ross to put the Dragons (1-0-1) on the board earlier in the half.
Brittney French turned away 21 shots in net for the Red Eddies (1-0-1), while Lindsay Hammond made five saves for Brunswick.
Lewiston 1, Mt. Ararat 0
TOPSHAM – Allison Coleman made an impressive 18 saves to help Lewiston defeat defending Class A champion Mt. Ararat 1-0 Tuesday afternoon in a high-profile girls’ soccer matchup.
This was the second straight shutout for Coleman, who led the Blue Devils (2-0) to the KVAC title last year.
Laura Martel took a feed from Tracy Bradley to score the game’s only goal with just under 29 minutes to play in the first half. Jessica Stahl turned away 11 shots in net for the Eagles.
Leavitt 2, Medomak Valley 1
TURNER – Sisters Emily and Erin Page posted a goal apiece to lift Leavitt to a 2-1 triumph over Medomak Valley.
Senior and team captain Emily Page scored the first goal at 25:51 into the game. Younger sister and lone freshman Erin Page turned around at 16:51 and added what would prove to be the game-winning goal for the Hornets (1-0).
Allison Ludwig notched Medomak Valley’s only goal late in the second half.
Buckfield 5, Old Orchard Beach 0
OLD ORCHARD BEACH – Candace Allen netted a pair of goals and added an assist to lead Buckfield to a 5-0 shutout over Old Orchard Beach in girls’ soccer action Tuesday.
Elise Boutin, Lindsey Neal and Kasey Farrington also tallied goals for the Bucks (1-1), while Shayna Shackford made six saves in net.
Katie Gordon turned away 12 shots in net for the Seagulls (0-1).
St. Dom’s 4, Poland 0
POLAND – Racheal Nadeau led a group of four goal scorers as St. Dom’s rolled to a 4-0 shutout over Poland in girls’ soccer action Tuesday.
Danielle Moreau, Autumn Bell and Ali Turcotte also contributed for the Saints (1-0), while Danielle Therriault made six saves in net.
Erica Belanger turned away 14 of 18 shots for the Knights.
