VFW agenda
LEWISTON – The Longley-Dionne VFW Post 9150 and Auxiliary will meet at noon Sunday, Sept. 19, at the Lewiston Elks Lodge, 1675 Lisbon St.
The agenda will include membership, Voice of Democracy and Patriots Pen contests, Veterans Day ceremonies, Poppy Day and sending gifts to veterans in Iraq. All members are encouraged to attend, and any eligible veterans who would like to join the VFW are invited.

Pathways meeting
AUBURN – Pathways Inc. will hold its annual meeting at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 20, at the Martindale Country Club, 527 Beech Hill Road.
Pathways is a private nonprofit corporation serving people with disabilities. Its programs provide services for individuals with disabilities that improve the quality of their lives. Pathways services help people realize their vocational, educational, economic, emotional and social potential.
Entertainment will be provided by Mitch Thomas, singer, songwriter and storyteller. The public is invited.
Lodge session

Library evening
AUBURN – The Auburn Public Library will hold its annual corporators’ meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 21, at the High Street Congregational Church, 106 Pleasant St.
The evening will begin with refreshments. The Library ’03/04 Volunteer Scrapbook, recognizing volunteers and their contributions during the past year, will be featured.
After the corporators’ business meeting, “The History of the Auburn Public Library,” a play performed by a Webster School class, will pay a centennial tribute to the library’s historic Carnegie Building.
Line dancing
AUBURN – Temple Shalom is offering a program for adults, men as well as women, who have no previous dance experience and for the dance pros.
Beginner/intermediate level line dancing will be held from 10 to 11:15 a.m. Tuesdays, starting Sept. 21. It is an ongoing class and the cost is $4 for each session. The class will be instructed by Marjorie Perkins of Brunswick.
Line dancing is a nonstrenuous dance activity. It helps posture, circulation and balance. No partner is needed. The program is open to the public.
