PARIS – Carmine Pecorelli joined the Oxford Hills Rotary Club at an induction ceremony on Sept. 1.

Pecorelli recently relocated to Maine from New Jersey, retiring from Federal Emergency Management Agency and the N.J. State Police. He lives in Norway with his wife, Marguerite.

Pecorelli looks forward to getting involved in Rotary in what he said is “the ultimate service organization.”

While living in New Jersey he witnessed a number of Rotary programs in action, especially the student exchange program. He has been interested in becoming a Rotarian since 1960.

Rotary International was founded in 1905 and is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. The Oxford Hills Club was chartered in 1983 and is in its 21st year.

The club meets every Wednesday at 7:30 a.m. at the First Congregational Church in South Paris. If interested in attending a meeting, contact President Patty Rice at 743-7777.
