BETHEL – Mahoosuc Land Trust will hold its annual Fall Foliage Flotilla at 9 a.m. Monday, Oct. 11, Columbus Day.

This fall scenery viewing opportunity was originated by the Friends of the Androscoggin in 1987 and continued when that group joined the land trust.

This year the trip will be held on the Magalloway River, a northern tributary of the Androscoggin, and will involve a six-mile paddle through the countryside of Wilsons Mills and under the Bennet-Bean Covered Bridge. Anyone wishing to join the trip should meet at the parking lot of the Sunday River Brewing Co. on Route 2 in Bethel to travel as a group to the put-in site. Participants are advised to bring a picnic lunch and life vests for all who will be making the trip. More information may be obtained by calling Steve Wight at 824-2410.
