FAIRFIELD – David LaBonte netted a pair of goals to pace Lewiston to a 4-0 shutout victory over Lawrence in another final regular-season boys’ soccer matchup Thursday.
Mohammed Mohammed and David Patry also tallied for the Blue Devils (11-2-1) to complete the scoring. Brian Nason needed only three saves in net to preserve the shutout.
Josh Sheperd handled netminding duties for the Bulldogs (1-11-2), turning away eight shots.
Mt. Blue 4, Medomak Valley 0
FARMINGTON – Zack Frechette led a group of four players who scored goals as Mt. Blue rolled to a 4-0 victory over Medomak Valley in a boys’ soccer matchup Thursday.
Arthur Trask, Dan Hayden, Devon Farrar and Alex Lepage also tallied for the Cougars (5-6-2) to round out the final tally. Joe French needed only one save to record the shutout.
Adam Moreau handled netkeeping duties for the Panthers (1-13), turning back 31 of 35 shots.
Winthrop 3, Lisbon 0
LISBON – Dave Zimmerman netted a pair of goals to lead Winthrop to a 3-0 win over Lisbon in a MVC regular season finale Thursday.
Jason Allen also tallied for the Ramblers (4-5-5) to complete the scoring.
Mike Gingras made five saves in net to notch the shutout.
Mike Wilkins held steady in net for the Greyhounds (1-11-2), turning away 16 shots.
Oxford Hills 2, Waterville 1
SOUTH PARIS – Josh Eichel scored the game-winner as Oxford Hills squeaked out a 2-1 win over Waterville in KVAC boys’ soccer action Thursday.
Cody Scoville recorded the first goal for the Vikings (6-7-1), and Eichel made it 2-1 before intermission. Despite being the underdog, the Vikes applied a great defensive effort to suppress second-half pressure from the Panthers (10-2-1) and held on for the win.
Vikings’ goalie David LaRoach earned the victory in net with 10 saves.
Erskine 3, Oak Hill 2
SOUTH CHINA – Clint Peterson booted a pair of goals to lead Erskine to a 3-2 win over Oak Hill in KVAC boys’ soccer action Thursday.
The Eagles (9-3-2) took a 2-1 advantage at the half.
The Raiders (1-12-1) battled fierce in the second half to try and eke out their second win of the season, but simply traded goals.
Mykola Makarov and Mike Eaton tallied a goal apiece in the narrow loss.
Leavitt 3, Skowhegan 1
SKOWHEGAN – Jeff Truchon led a trio of players to record goals as Leavitt squeaked out a 3-1 win over Skowhegan in more late-season KVAC soccer action.
Zack Burgess and Brent Parker also tallied for the Hornets (4-8-1) to complete the scoring.
Brian Leighton made 12 saves in net to earn the win.
Drew Sprague gave the Indians a goal with 14 minutes left in regulation. Walter Powell handled netkeeping duties, turning back nine shots on the day.
Jay 2, Livermore Falls 2
JAY – Shane Bourgault scored a goal with 6:58 remaining in regulation to send Jay to a 2-2 overtime tie with Livermore Falls in a battle between two longtime central Maie rivals.
Kyle Lewis also tallied for the Tigers (1-11-2) to round out the tally. Brad Richards made nine saves in net for Jay.
Corey Flagg and Zach Keene tallied for the Andies (0-12-2), while Matt Coitnoir added an assist. Jake Marceau turned away 10 shots in net for Livermore Falls.
Hall-Dale 2, Monmouth 0
FARMINGDALE – Don Vorler scored both goals as Hall-Dale doused Monmouth 2-0 in MVC boys’ soccer action Thursday.
Vorler’s first goal for the Bulldogs (6-5-3) came on a breakaway in the first half and entered the net on the right corner. Hall-Dale led 1-0 at the half.
Mustang (5-6-3) goalie Kyle Pelletier was busy in net with 17 saves, while Reid Durost turned back five for Hall-Dale in the win.
