AUBURN – Elisha Dorso and Lauren Clark netted goals Thursday to lead St. Dom’s to a 2-1 victory over Old Orchard Beach in a final regular season field hockey contest.
Michela Fyler and Becky Lewis contributed for the Saints (12-2) with assists. Elizabeth Bennett made seven saves in net to notch the win.
Courtney Rague scored the Seagulls’ (9-5) lone goal with an assist from Ashley Hibbard. Nicole Coutu turned away 19 shots in net for Old Orchard.
St. Dom’s 5, OOB 0
OLD ORCHARD BEACH – Allie Turgeon led a group of five players to record goals as St. Dom’s rolled past Old Orchard Beach 5-0 in a final regular-season contest for both squads.
Heidi DeHaan, Rachel Nadeau, Christie Ouellette and Jessica Chamberlain also tallied for the Saints (9-4-1) to complete the scoring. Abby Gilbert needed only one save to notch the shutout.
Samantha Ciullo handled netminding duties for the Seagulls (1-13), turning away 20 of 25 shots fired in her direction.
Erskine 4, Oak Hill 2
WALES – Rachel Seigfriedt scored a pair of goals to lead Erskine to a 4-2 win over Oak Hill in KVAC girls’ soccer action Thursday.
The Eagles received superb support from goalie Ashly Mederios, who made 27 saves on 31 shots. Jessica St. Amand and Meghan Hall rounded out the scoring for Erskine.
The Raiders scored one goal in each half on Mederios. Magen Blais and Tia McCollett recorded the goals.
Lewiston 8, Lawrence 0
LEWISTON – Laura Martel had a hat trick as Lewiston blanked Lawrence, 8-0, in KVAC girls’ soccer action Thursday.
Martel broke the Blue Devils’ career scoring record during the contest, and now boasts 57 career goals. Kelsey Varney pitched in with a pair of goals.
The Lewiston defense limited the Bulldogs to five shots, while goalie Alison Coleman turned back all four shots to notch the shutout.
Cony 1, EL 0
AUGUSTA – Maggie Rende scored on a breakaway in the first half to lift Cony to a 1-0 victory over Edward Little in a late-season KVAC girls’ soccer matchup.
The Rams outshot the Eddies (8-5-1) 20-6 but could only find the back of the net on one occasion. Bri Rende made five saves in net to record the win.
Brittney French handled netkeeping duties for EL, turning away 19 of 20 shots.
Leavitt 2, Skowhegan 1
TURNER – Ashley Maylor scored a goal with just 6:44 remaining in regulation to lift Leavitt to a 2-1 victory over Skowhegan in another final regular-season boys’ soccer matchup Thursday.
Alissa Ademan also tallied for the Hornets (3-11) to complete the scoring. Jordan Beall needed only three saves in net to record the win.
Danielle Goff scored the Indians’ lone goal with 31:29 left in the first half. Brittany Gould turned away five shots in net for Skowhegan.
Waterville 1, Oxford Hills 0
WATERVILLE – Megan Willette recorded the only goal of the game as Waterville stole a 1-0 win from Oxford Hills in KVAC girls’ soccer action Thursday.
The Raiders (9-4-1) and Panthers (7-5-1) marched up and down the field of play for most of the game with limited opportunities to score. However, Willette was given an unassisted gift midway through the second half. Oxford Hills’ goalie Aly Fox had four saves, while Kelly Landry turned away 10 for Waterville.
Maranacook 5, Belfast 2
BELFAST – Toby Martin scored a pair of goals as Maranacook coasted to a 5-2 win over Belfast in KVAC girls’ soccer action Thursday.
The Black Bears (12-1-1) notched a school record 103 goals over 14 games in their final season game as Jackie Mrazik, Amy Gifford and Danielle Poulin pitched in with a goal apiece. The Lions (10-2-2) managed two goals on Cailtin Cross’s pair of penalty kicks.
Bryna Harrington had 11 saves in net for Belfast, while Maranacook goalie Melissa Piper mirrored that performance with 11 saves for the win.
