LEWISTON – Mayor Lionel C. Guay Jr. and the Lewiston Youth Advisory Council are reminding residents that nominations for the “Mayor’s Citation of Excellence” are due Friday, Nov. 12.
Members of the public may submit a one-page nomination of a local middle school or high school student about an action or accomplishment deemed as “extraordinary” or “above and beyond.” It must have occurred within the last two months, and the nominated youth must reside in Lewiston.
Following the monthly selection by Mayor Guay and the youth council, the mayor will present the citation to the selected youth at his/her school during the last week of November (at the student’s home if home-schooled).
