AUBURN – New Auburn Seniors met Dec 1 and elected the officers for the year 2005: Virginia Levasseur, president; Fern Bussiere, vice president; Irene Delorme, secretary; Delice Blais, treasurer; and Joyce Bickford, correspondence secretary and publicity. Installation will be held in January.
President Virginia Levasseur presided at the meeting. December birthdays were noted, the Birthday Song was sung and small gifts were given.
Members attended a Christmas party at Martindale Country Club on Dec 5 with entertainment by Present Company. Drawings were held and all members received a gift.
A bus will go to Foxwoods on Tuesday, Jan 11. It is open for anyone interested. For more information, call Jean at 784-5264.
Pot of gold winners were Doris Leblond, Lucien Hamel, Jeanne Nadeau and Fidele Nadeau. New members welcomed were Noella Rocheleau, Richard Rocheleau, Noella Breton, Constance Desjardins, Thomas Desjardins, Donald Doyon, Germaine Dumont, Georgette Gilbert, Cecile Giguere and Guilda Poliquin.
The meeting adjourned and a light lunch was served with bingo following.
Open bingo will be held for seniors 60 and over on Dec. 15. The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 5.
