LEWISTON – Germaine M. Nolin, 86, of 35 Heath Lane, Auburn, died Thursday, Jan. 20, at C.M.M.C.

Born in Lewiston, April 8,1918, a daughter of Alphe and Eva Gagne Giasson.

Germaine filled her life with her family. When she wasn’t working at the shoe shops, cooking, or cleaning, you would find her dancing, shopping, watching plays, or working on her tan. She loved going on family outings and posing for pictures.

Her favorite time of year was Christmas in Maine, when she was surrounded by family, friends, and her favorite decorations. Trips to Florida had to wait until after the holidays.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Bertrand V. Nolin, of Auburn, whom she married Feb. 22, 1941; a daughter, Marlene and her husband, Gerald Charpentier, of Fla.; four sons, Douglas Nolin, of Minot, Michael and Candy Nolin of Calif., Daniel and Christine Nolin of Auburn, James and Stephanie Nolin of Greene, 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Lorraine and her husband, Daniel O’Neil, of Auburn; two brothers, Roger and Cecile Giasson of Fla., and Henry Giasson of Iowa.

She was predeceased by a son, Thomas Nolin in October of 1965; four brothers, Albert, Romeo, Marcel and Raymond Giasson.
