PARIS – The SAD 17 board, the Norway-Paris Kiwanis Club and the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School Student Council honored Melissa Campbell recently as February Staff Member of the Month.
Campbell teaches language arts and social studies on Team 3 (seventh grade) at Oxford Hills Middle School. She has been teaching in the district for 34 years.
Cambell was nominated by 16 of her colleagues at the middle school. They noted that “the basic educational premise to which Mrs. Campbell adheres is that all efforts must be in the best interest of children. This is evident to her family, friends, colleagues and most especially to her students … she is a risk-taker, unafraid of changes and sees difficult circumstances as challenges as she strives for excellence.”
She received $100 from the Student Council and her name has been added to the plaque sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Norway-Paris.
The Staff Member of the Month program is coordinated by the Oxford Hills Community Education Exchange and supported by the Norway-Paris Kiwanis Club and the Student Council.
