SAINT-HYACINTHE, Quebec – Sister Marie-Ange Bonenfant, 95, of the congregation of the Sisters of Charity of Saint-Hyacinthe passed away Thursday, March 10, after 70 years of religious life at the Mother House in Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec.
She was born in Gonic, N.H. on Feb. 21, 1910. She entered the community on March 19, 1932, and made profession in 1934.
She was missioned in the United States all her life, coming to Canada for retirement in 1991, where she continued doing manual work for the missions.
Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Irene Donahue of Biddeford; a brother-in-law, Wilfred Raymond, of East Hartford, Conn.; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Mary Singer of River Head, N.Y.; and a few nephews and nieces, all from the United States.
