I am a handicapped person. In the summer, I use an electric wheelchair. There are only about three streets in the whole city where I can safely ride my wheelchair, either on the sidewalk or the street. A lot of these streets haven’t been paved in over 30 years. I feel that city officials really need to look at the safety of elderly and handicapped people before investing in unnecessary properties and abandoned buildings. If they want people to put their business here, and people to spend money here, something really needs to be done about this. Instead of making the auto repair shops rich, look out for the safety of their residents first.

Also, the city needs to start enforcing its laws better regarding dog waste and trash being left on sidewalks and streets. I also feel those problems need to be addressed in the media as to the severity of unnecessary trash and dog waste throughout the whole city. Fines need to be imposed that get more costly for each offense.
