Catholics, and, in fact, all Christian churches that follow Christ’s teachings, teach forgiveness for all who are truly sorry. That forgiveness includes Cardinal Bernard Law.
Cardinal Law gave of himself to his people and was always at pro-life conferences, rallies and before the U.S. Congress.
Pundits and journalists who say nothing to confront politicians who keep Roe v. Wade alive (which permits the killing of a baby boy or girl in the mother’s womb) are as immoral as the critics of Cardinal Law.
Pope John Paul II appointed Cardinal Law as archpriest of the Basilica Santa Maria Maggiore, which is called the “Christmas Church.” He forgave Cardinal Law. God has forgiven him, and I think we should, too.
