FARMINGTON – The community is already pitching in to make this year’s Kid Stuff Sale even more successful than last year’s. This will be the fourth annual Kid Stuff Sale, a fund-raiser sponsored by the Franklin County Children’s Task Force.

All proceeds will benefit summer camp scholarships for children under 10 years old. Last year the sale raised more than $1,500 and was able to send 25 children to camp. The goal this year is to do even better.

The sale will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 30, on the lawn of Old South Church. There will also be a bake sale and silent auction table opening at 9 a.m.

Donations of slightly used toys, books, videos, clothes and baby equipment have arrived at the donation boxes located in the UMF Fitness Center and Howard’s Rexall. Those who have a donation may call 779-0589.

The silent auction table will include donations from merchants, artists and summer camps. A list of auction items may be viewed at the Franklin County Children’s Task Force Web site, www.fcctf.org. Those who would like to donate an item for the silent auction are asked to call 779-0589.

Applications for the summer camp scholarships will be available at the sale, as well as at the Franklin County Children’s Task Force, located at 113 Church St. The applications may also be accessed at the task force Web site.
