GARDINER – Devonsquare, Maine’s nationally renowned acoustic rock band, will play at “Alive! from Johnson Hall” at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 22, in historic Johnson Hall Performing Arts Center, 280 Water St.

For the last 23 years, these talented singer-songwriters from Maine have toured the United States and Europe. They also have released five CDs. Their three-part harmonies and award-winning songs that have earned them an international reputation on the contemporary folk/rock circuit.

Band members are Tom Dean (vocals and guitar), Alana MacDonald (vocals and violin), Herb Ludwig (vocals) and Teg Glendon (bass guitar).

“Alive!” concerts are hosted by Martin Swinger. The series is in its ninth season of presenting fine Maine musicians in a spring series of concerts.

Each of the eight shows, on Friday nights from March 4 through April 22, presents a different style of music and features some of the best performing artists in the state.
