RUMFORD – Delia B. Paradis, 93, formerly of 79 Birch St., Lewiston, died Sunday, April 24, at the Rumford Community Home where she had resided the past four years.

She was born in Breakville, Quebec, Canada, on May 21, 1911, the daughter of Joseph and Delvina Guay Paradis.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed at the Androscoggin Mill.

She was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Parish, Ladies of Ste. Anne Sodality, Tiers Order St. Dominique, Cercle du St. Sacrement and the Lewiston Senior Citizens. She enjoyed her many senior citizen trips. She was instrumental in financially helping the formal education of two seminarians in Vietnam, who later became priests.

She is survived by three sisters, Armande Goudreau and her husband, George, of Lewiston, Aurore Foisy and her husband, Aime, of Auburn, and Pauline Faucher of Lewiston; a brother, Roland Paradis of Lewiston.

She was predeceased by 10 sisters and brothers.
