POLAND – Many kids have little interaction with adult except their teachers and family members. Many adults know few kids outside their own circle of family and friends. Local groups hope to break down these barriers by participating in Join Hands Day, a national day of service scheduled for Saturday, May 7.

Each year, adult and youth organizations across the country become partners for the entire Join Hands Day process, from the planning stages through the event, to bridge the generation gap and improve communities along the way.

Locally, Modern Woodmen of America Camp 8794 will join together with Poland Girl Scouts, Modern Woodmen Youth Camp and American Legion Post 150. The groups will help clean up at Range Pond State Park.

Join Hands Day is sponsored by America’s fraternal benefit societies, including Modern Woodmen of America. For more information about Join Hands Day, call Debi Wagemann at 783-8804 or log onto www.joinhandsday.org.
