WINTHROP – Sarah Bellanger had two hits and an RBI as Carrabec defeated Winthrop 13-9 in softball action on Thursday.

Carrabec scored five runs in the fourth. Erika Taylor hit a double for Carrabec. Winthrop’s Nic Emery hit a double and a triple. Winthrop (0-8) scored all of its runs in the first three innings.

Falmouth 10, Poland 5

FALMOUTH – Kelly Burns had three hits along with three runs scored and three RBIs to lead Falmouth to a 10-5 win over Poland in softball action on Thursday.

Christina Capozza hit a triple and scored three for Falmouth (5-4) while Paige Wyman had three hits, including a double.

Robyn Gauthier had two hits and a triple, and Courtney Clark also had two hits for the Knights (6-4).
