TURNER – Tryouts for the Lewiston/Auburn entry in the Portland Twilight League will be held at Leavitt Area High School on Sunday, May 15, beginning at 11 a.m.

Manager Tom Bourdon said there has been great deal of interest from area players. Athletes who will turn 19 prior to Aug. 1 or attended prep school or college during the 2004-05 school year are eligible to try out.

Shockers to hold first practice

LEWISTON – The Central Maine Shockers semi-pro football team will hold their first practice session on Sunday, May 15, at Pinette Field. Practice will begin at 9 a.m. and conclude at noon.
