More valuable than a diamond,

And more precious than a pearl;

It’s a gift we all receive,

Everybody in the world.

This gift of which I am speaking

May sometimes cause us strife,

But it’s a gift we should be thankful for.

It’s what we all call life.

We always speak of troubles,

And forget the joy it brings,

Through friends, laughter, and love,

And our freedom that still rings.

So every morning that you wake up,

Give thanks, be happy, and love!

For we do not know when the time will come,

That we will be taken by God from above.
