MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) – Zach Jackson scattered five hits over eight innings allowing one run and striking out two in his Eastern League debut as the New Hampshire Fisher Cats topped the Portland Sea Dogs 4-1 Wednesday.

Lee Gronkiewicz came on to throw a perfect ninth for his 16th save. Kason Gabbard took the loss.

Ryan Roberts and Kevin Barker paced an 11-hit New Hampshire attack with two hits apiece.

Portland’s Jared Sandberg laced an RBI single in the seventh scoring Jeremy West to cut the lead to 3-1, but New Hampshire’s Erik Kratz and Raul Tablado launched back-to-back doubles in the eighth.
