NORWAY – Evelyn Clemons, 60, of Mechanic Falls, died Tuesday, June 7, at Stephens Memorial Hospital, following a long battle with cancer.
She was born in Portland, on July 6, 1944, the daughter of Albert and Florence Moore.
She married Lawrence Clemons on Aug. 5, 1960. He passed away on Dec. 11, 1994.
She had been a homemaker all of her life. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Her favorite time of year was Christmas. She enjoyed country music, car rides, and watching Donna and Carl race at Oxford Plains Speedway.
She leaves behind her companion, Elbridge Harrington, who always made her smile; two daughters, Donna Conant and her husband, Carl, and Helen Berry and her husband, Stephen; a son, Brian and his companion, Dee Sessions; a granddaughter, Mary Jean Clemons; two grandsons, Joshua and Nathan Berry; and a brother, Alfred Moore and his companion, Mary.
She was predeceased by two grandchildren; her mother, Florence Berry; and a half brother, Raymond Pratt.
