LISBON – Spring rabbits visited Lisbon Library Storytime on June 1, brought in by Stacey Wheeler.

The pre-schoolers have had a busy spring, with visits from a nurse to explain hospital stays, a lamb named Ballerina and a dental hygienist with a toothbrush for each of them.

The storytime for preschoolers will continue throughout the summer and will take part in a version of the library’s Summer Reading Program, “Dragons, Dreams and Daring Deeds.” Storytime meets at 10:30 a.m. Wednesdays.

The Summer Reading Program for children in kindergarten through grade six will run for six weeks, but may be joined at any time. In “Dragons, Dreams and Daring Deeds,” children will share books, make crafts, play games and earn prizes at 1 p.m. Tuesdays in the Lisbon Library Children’s Room.

The kick-off event will be a marionette show, “Dan Grady’s Marvelous Marionette Medley,” at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, at the Lisbon Teen Center. Reservations are required, so call the library at 353-6564 prior to the day of the performance to reserve a seat.
