OXFORD – The annual Summer Sizzler One-Pitch Softball Tournament, formerly known as the Bean Hole Tournament, is scheduled for July 22-23 at the Oxford Fairgrounds Field.

All teams are eligible, including coed. Slow pitch rules are in effect. Entry fee is $175. Deadline for registration is July 19.

Auburn Players

AUBURN – Tail Gators defeated the Sluggers 18-3 in a 5-inning makeup game Wednesday.

Sean O’Donnell went 4-4 and scored 3 runs. Phil Charest added 3 hits and scored twice. Seven other players had 2 hits. Pitcher James Bixby allowed no earned runs.

Lewiston Men

LEWISTON – Dave Sands went 4-4 and drove in 2 runs to lead New England Home Mortgage to a 22-6 win over SOCHS in the American League. Marc Robichaud added 2 hits and knocked in 5 runs. Tony Strout was also a repeat hitter, including a 3-run homer, and finished with 4 RBI. Walter Jackson was a perfect 2-2. Don Michaud gained the mound win.
