Fair canceled

LIVERMORE FALLS – The fall fair scheduled from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, at Eaton Memorial United Methodist Church has been canceled.

Rummage sale

WILTON – The First Congregational Church, UCC, will hold a fall rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 7 and 8, at the church on Main Street.

Sunday school

FARMINGTON – Sunday School classes for all ages begin at 9 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 9, at the Henderson Memorial Baptist Church, Academy and Main streets. All are welcome.

Storytelling

KINGFIELD – The Inn on Winter’s Hill is hosting an appearance by Blaine Ray, the inventor of Total Physical Response with Storytelling, for a two-day event, Thursday and Friday, Oct. 13 and 14, according to an announcement from Mt. Abram High School.

SAD 58 Modern Language Department has been using Ray’s curriculum and methodology while attending his workshops and national conferences.

Two-day sale

RANGELEY – The Episcopal Church Women are sponsoring a two-day rummage sale in the church undercroft, Main Street, Rangeley, from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 14, and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 15.

Items include newly received fall and winter clothing, household goods and a boutique.

Hunter safety

SALEM – SAD 58 Adult and Community Education will offer a course in hunter safety from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 23, and from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday and Wednesday, Oct. 24 and 26, at Mt. Abram Community School.

Full attendance is mandatory for certification. Cost is $10 per person and the course is limited to 40 participants. Pre-registration is required and all children ages 10 to 12 must be accompanied by a parent. The instructor is Rick Rogers.
