Story times

WILTON – Wilton Free Public Library infant and toddler story times are held at 10:15 a.m. Tuesdays. Preschool story time is at 11 a.m. Tuesdays. Elementary story times will be held at 6 p.m. Thursdays through Nov. 10.

Jay town news

JAY – Residents are asked to remove belongings from all cemeteries by Tuesday, Nov. 1. Any items not removed by that date will be discarded.

Absentee ballots are available at the Town Office for the referendum election. Voting will be held from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8, at the Community Building.

Dog licenses will be available starting Monday, Oct. 17, for the 2006 year. The licenses are due each year by Jan. 1, and a late fee is charged beginning Feb. 1.

Rescheduled

JAY – The postponed Oct. 8 dedication ceremony for the site of the former Maine and New Hampshire Granite Co. stonecutting sheds will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 22. In case of rain, the dedication will be held at the Jay Historical House on Jay Hill.
