AUBURN – Area residents can be screened to reduce their risk of having a stroke when Life Line Screening is at the Edward Little High School on Tuesday, Nov. 22. Appointments will begin at 10 a.m.

A stroke is ranked as the third leading killer in the world, and the second among women. Screenings involve the use of ultrasound technology and scan for potential health problems related to blocked arteries. Also offered is a bone density screening to assess risk for osteoporosis.

Each screening requires 10 minutes or less. A complete vascular screening package, including the stroke/carotid artery, abdominal aortic aneurysm and ankle brachial index, is $109. The vascular package and osteoporosis screening is $129.
