NORWAY – Stone-Smart Post 82, American Legion, Auxiliary, Norway, along with Foster-Carroll Auxiliary 72, Oxford, John D. Long Auxiliary 58 Buckfield, Anderson-Staples Auxiliary 112, Oxford, and Ring-McKeen Auxiliary 151, West Paris, hosted Second District President Connie Tutlis and Department of Maine President Nicky Weatherby recently. Also attending the Nov. 4 session was Charlotte Wing, Department of Maine historian.

Each unit president gave a report of activities. Tutlis spoke on her project for the year, Cystic Fibrosis, as she has a grandchild with it. She asked each unit to bring her items for a raffle to raise money for the project.

Wing discussed her history projects and said she hopes every unit will take part. She has awards for the units that do the best reports. Weatherby told of all department projects for the coming year and on membership.

The meeting was preceded by a potluck supper, with host unit Norway bringing hot dishes, South Paris rolls and butter, Oxford, salads, Buckfield, pies and West Paris, cheese and crackers.
