RUMFORD – The annual Christmas in the Valley Craft Fair will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, at Mountain Valley High School when 56 crafters will be on hand.

The fair will feature a cookie walk and a Chinese auction, with proceeds going to the scholarship funds for Mountain Valley and Dirigo high schools from Christmas in the Valley. The Kid’s Corner will be run by the National Honor Society of Mountain Valley High School.

The kitchen will be stocked and run by the Rumford/River Valley Relay For Life Committee, with all the proceeds going to Relay For Life. On the menu will be a chicken pie plate with fixings, chili, hot dogs, homemade apple crisp and gingerbread. Relay For Life will also hold a pie sale.

Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive at 11 a.m. at the Kid’s Corner and will be there until 1 p.m. Children of all ages will be able to talk with Santa and have their pictures taken with him for a nominal fee. Santa is also asking that each child bring a nonperishable item for local food pantries.
