LEWISTON – Pratt & Sons has captured the championship in the Contractor’s Hockey League at the Colisee.

In final regular season action Sunday, Pratt and Pineland Lumber skated to an 8-8 tie; Theberge Construction edged Lewiston Paint 5-4; and Federal Distributors beat Donovan’s Auto 6-4.

The league would like to thank organizer Chuck Drinkwater for another great season. Players are reminded the annual golf tournament is scheduled for June 10 at Turner Highlands. Final standings:

Ice Dawgs advance

LEWISTON – The Lewiston Ice Dawgs edged Saco Middle School 2-1 to advance to the championship game of the Southern Maine Middle School Hockey League playoffs Thursday at 8:40 p.m. at the Falmouth Ice Center.

Lewiston will battle NYA in the finals.

Cam Poussard was outstanding in goal. Saco took an early lead on a goal by Derek Reny, assisted by Max Dube and Peter Remmes.

Lewiston knotted the count late in the opening period as Sam Cloutier lit the lamp, with Cody Chadwick drawing an assist.

Colt Steele netted the eventual game-winner in the second period with Connor Anthoine assisting.
