MECHANIC FALLS – James Bradley is running for the Maine House of Representatives District 100 seat, which includes the towns of Mechanic Falls, Otisfield and Oxford.
His said his decision to run is driven by a strong desire to help keep Maine moving forward and to enhance the lives of those he represents.
“Our No. 1 priority must be to provide good Maine jobs for Maine people,” Bradley said in a prepared statement. “We need to invest in people and encourage more businesses to do business in Maine.”
He added that Mainers must invest in education and make higher education a possibility for all citizens and make affordable quality health care equally accessible.
Bradley also believes the state must protect consumers and worker rights, protect the environment and natural resources and be fiscally responsible. “We can not leave large deficits for our children and grandchildren to be burdened with.”
Bradley has worked for the University of Southern Maine since 1998, the last four years as an administrative assistant in a teacher education program.
A camping and fishing enthusiast, Bradley believes that one of the state’s most valuable assets is its natural resources, and the state has a responsibility to manage and protect them wisely, as well as ensure public access so that future generations can experience what it means to live in Maine.
Bradley, a Democrat, lives on Purington Avenue in Mechanic Falls.
